Before/After School Program

Little House of Hugs receives bus transportation to and from Custer Elementary School.  

Before school we offer rest time, breakfast time, and free choice time.

After school we offer snack time, homework help, outdoor time, and many age appropriate activities.  

Our summer program is packed full of activities and includes two field trips per week.

Rates

$4.00 per hour
$3.50 per hour for siblings

Summer Care

full time - $125.00 wk
part-time - $30.00 day

Registration Dates

We register children all year round.

Ages 

2 1/2 thru 6yrs  (Does NOT need to be potty-trained!)

Levels

Each child is evaluated when they enroll at the center to determine which level they are ready for.  Our levels are based on each child's abilities, not their age.  There may be a 2 year old with a 5 year old, depending on the individual needs of each child.  We have 3 levels, with the beginning level being very basic, and the top level being extremely advanced.  Our goal is to have each child through the top level before entering kindergarten!  Each child will progress through the levels at their own pace -  the groups will not move up as a group.  When a child progresses through a level, they will receive a promotion certificate.  

Reporting and Conferences

Along with daily "face to face" contact with each parent, "Daily Reports" are filled out for each child, telling how they ate, how their behavior was, and anything they need to work on for class.  A "Preschool Activities Board" is also filled out each day telling  parents what activities each group worked on that day.  Two scheduled conferences will be held per year.

M, T, W, Th       9:00-12:15 (must enroll for at least 3 days per week)
Friday are "Fun Fridays".  All preschoolers are welcome to enroll for Fridays also.

9:45 - 10:00     Potty and Hand washing
10:00 - 10:30     Circletime Activities
10:30 - 11:15       Outdoor Time
11:15 - 12:00      hand washing and Lunch
12:00 - 12:15       Story and Music Time 

Rates for Preschool Only (no extra day care included) 

3 day schedule - $40 wk
4 day schedule - $55 wk
5 day schedule - $65 wk

Our preschool program is very highly respected in the community. We are known for sending kids to kindergarten at a much higher level than their peers. Numerous kindergarten teachers have called our center to tell us what a great job we do with our preschoolers, including one that said, "I know when I get a Little House of Hugs child that I have to plan a whole different lesson plan!"
